Douglas Paton began exploring at an early age and it’s a passion that has led him to a number of unusual situations: he’s swum with sharks; faced off against polar bears; lived on boats (and islands) and been trapped in nature parks filled with wild boars.

His first published piece of writing was a front page story about a new totem pole at a Girl Guide camp (his mom framed the article). Since then he’s written comics, articles (for both grown ups and children) and three books for children.

Douglas lives, writes and works in Summerland, British Columbia and still devotes as much of his time to exploring as he can.
